Hi, I'm Abe. At the moment, I live in Southwest Michigan, but that can change at any time. I do a lot of traveling, and have lived in many interesting areas of the mid-west. At the time of this update, it is around Christmas 2001.

I was born in October, around lunch time. Perfect time to be born, eh? Just in time for lunch!

I first began building web sites when I was 16 years old. I never thought that I would ever create websites like I do today. I design websites for both private and public groups. Whether its a personal website for a individual, or a website for a business. My most recent accomplishment was a website for my local township. That website is located at: http://www.bloomingdaletwp.com Although the township approved the format this site was built, I wasn't happy with the result. However, when designing websites, you create what they like, not what you like. If you were referred to me for the possibility to create a website for you, please go to http://abeLacourse.tripod.com At this time, there is no information located there, but that is soon to come. Please e-mail me at abe@innocent.com

Some things that I enjoy are acting, computer games, designing websites, traveling, building and tearing things down, and pretending I know how to fix my car.

My favorite place is Chicago. There is something about the city that intrigues me. There's always something going on, and something to do. Whenever I go into the city of Chicago, I take the South Shore Railway. Its a pretty decent fare, too.

Throughout my working history, I have also been through a lot of interesting jobs. I have worked in fast food, bakeries, amusement parks, driving an ice cream truck, and ski resorts. I would have to say the job I enjoyed most was working at Six Flags Great America. I was a ride Operator during the spring of 2000. Sometimes it may be hard work, but its different. Most people don't know what its like to work in a amusement park, so I'll attempt to describe what a typical day was like.

8:45 AM: Arrive at Six Flags, find parking spot.

9:00 AM: Be at work area on time. Each employee is assigned a ride group when hired, and operate certain rides.

9:00 AM-10:00 AM: Sweep, remove any cobwebs, general cleaning.

9:45 AM: Test run your ride for the morning. Run it three times, and listen and observe for anything out of the ordinary.

10:00 AM: Remove closed sign from ride entrance, and wait for guests to come to your ride, at the ride area entrance. Make sure every guest meets height requirements. Occasionally, a child may be questionable about their height, so use best judgment whether child should ride, or stay behind. Parents may try to bribe you to allow their child to ride, yell at you, or any other possible combinations of things. Number one priority, GUEST SAFETY.

11:00 AM: When rotating person comes, rotate to next ride. Continue to enforce all rules, and speak spiel loudly, and clearly, into microphone. Be on the look out for anyone who enters the ride area while ride is in motion. If this happens, hit the emergency stop IMMEDIATELY. If problem arises, call security. Do not attempt to deal with troublemakers on your own. This could turn out to be disastrous, and a guest complaint against you.
Guests cannot stay on ride once completed, unless there is no line.
Continue rotating every hour or so, throughout the entire day. Bathroom breaks are brief, and during the time of which you rotate. Sometimes you are lucky, and manage to fit a 20 minute break in for a snack or lunch.

8:45 PM: Announce to guests that the park will be closing in 15 minutes.

9:00 PM: Close entrance to ride, and put up sign. Finish giving those in line their earned ride, while ensuring that no one jumps the chains at the entrance. (Which happens quite often). Once ride is finished for night, pick up any garbage, complete paper work, turn in. Head over to nearest roller coaster. Once arriving at roller coaster, clean the ground under and around coaster until all trash is picked up. Depending on how many people actually show up like they are suppose to, this can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours.

10:00/Midnight: Go home for night, and get a good nights sleep.

It doesn't sound like a lot, and really it isn't. It's working all day that makes it hard work, especially being in the sun. Sunscreen, and sunglasses become your best friend!

If you have ever been to my site in the past, you will know that this is a MAJOR cutback from what I used to have. This is much shorter. Thanks for reading this!
